Our History

Since 1971, American Spirit Homes, Inc. has been building high-quality custom homes in Northeast Ohio, including Portage, Medina, Stark, Geauga and Summit Counties. The business was started over 30 years ago as Robert Antrobius' vision of building beautiful homes by utilizing the "American Spirit". He believed the best way to build an American dream home was with hardworking American craftsmen. Since our business was conceived and prospered because of the American Spirit, we are proud to display the name "American Spirit Homes" on each of our exciting homes.

American Spirit Homes was started when Antrobius built his own family home. Today, American Spirit Homes builds approximately 12-15 homes a year, yet remains dedicated to providing the same quality workmanship Antrobius put into his own home. We believe that by limiting the number of homes built each year, we maintain our devotion to making each home exceptional.

Being in business for over 30 years, we have had the unique opportunity of building not only one home for our customers, but many times building their second home as well. This speaks magnitudes about the excellent service and commitment we provide to each one of our customers. Excellent service leaves a lasting impression. Therefore, our goal is to define our company by leaving lasting positive impressions with every one of our customers.
